We rally people at the local level around causes.  For each identified local are of concern we seek to  provide information, opportunities for involvement and a strategic task force in order to develop and implement tangible solutions.

   The reality is that:

• " AIDS rate in Long Beach is twice that of [Los Angeles] county." - Press Telegram, 2/5/2007
• Reported AIDS cases in Long Beach as of June 30, 2006 show 2,752 people currently living with AIDS  in our city. 
• Cumulatively there have been 5,469 cases reported since 1983.
• Long Beach has the third highest HIV incidence rate in California.  
• Continue to pray for Long Beach citizens who are living with HIV/AIDS.

Task Force

Opportunities for Involvement

There is a diverse and ACTIVE group of Christians here in the city that have networked together so that they might together support, encourage and build relationships of significance with those who are locally infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.  Due to the nature of this local cause, this group is focused on building friendships and only takes up projects as they are brought to their attention.
