Information
Statistcis show that most people have unfortunately adopted the following emergency preparedness plan:
"It won't happen here. If it does happen here, it won't affect me. If itdoes affect me, it won't be that bad. If it is that bad, I can't doanything about it anyway!"
This is what experts call the universal disaster plan. Is it yours?!
The reality is that:

Each of these local congreations is presently working on identifying a local emergency preparedness team. These teams are going to get themselves prepared and are going to be doing a facilities check of their worship center. They are also going to be strategizing and preparing for the training/equipping of their own congregation in emergency preparedness.
Once these steps are taken then the neighborhood campaigns will begin!!
It is NOT TOO LATE to get your local congregation involved. If you would like to get the same informational resources that these local congregations recieved then simply contact us!
All are welcome at our next Task Force Meeting! We will discussing and preparing to implement our "preparing the local team" strategy for our local worship facilities pilot projects.
Opportunities for Involvement
The Kingdom Causes Emergency Preparedness Task Force's mission is to coordinate emergency preparedness among neighbors by mobilizing worship centers (and their congregants) to advocate in their neighborhood and to be key identifiable resources in the city's overall emergency preparedness plan. Our worship center enrollment plan starts with a breakdown of the city into 24 Emergency Preparedness Zones (EP Zones). Within each of these EP Zones, we are committed to systematically identifying and leveraging the influence and resources of various local worship centers. Once identified, each worship center will be assigned a designated Area of Responsibility (AOR). These local worship centers, once equipped and trained, will be able to serve their neighbors in some very tangible and important ways as they function as hubs of information and care, while fostering a local sense of security and preparedness. There are four levels of involvement:
Currently we are working with a few local congregations with worship facilities to help them establish a Level 2 team at their site. We are excited about these pilot projects and hope to have them fully functional in the next couple months. They are excited about the incredible opportunity that they have to genuinely seek the best interests of their neighborhoods! So far, we are working with the following congregations:
Glad Tidings (district 8)The River (district 8)Word of God Faith Center (district 7)
