We have remodeled the Children's Room at the Alhambra Police Department. This was a great opportunity for us as the community to rally around a need in our City. LA experienced a mild earthquake just a few weeks ago. What will we do when the big one hits? Are we ready? We are preparing for the Great Southern California Shake Out on November 13th at 10am. Alhambra churches are needed resources in times of crisis. Please click here for more details.
Citizen's Police Academy at Alhambra Police Department begins in 2009. This is a comprehensize sharing of knowledge about the Alhambra Police Department by veteran police officers and staff, that is offered to city residents and businesspersons who want to expand their knowledge about the Alhambra PD. This is offered during an 11 week series of Wednesday evening sessions. The academy includes: lectures, discussions, demonstrations, role-playing exercises and a ride-along with an officer on a regular patrol shift. Stop by the Alhambra PD, 211 S. First Street, to ask for an application form. For questions, please call the Crime Prevention Division at 626/570-5177.
Prayer events: Prayer Walking the City....Join other followers of Jesus in praying for our city monthly. Meet at Sunrise Christian Community every 4th Thursday of the month from 7:30-9pm to prayer walk the downtown core of Alhambra, praying for God's love and hope to reign on our city streets.
