2.  (562) 733-1147:  This number puts you in touch with Long Beache's Department of Health and Human Services Center for the Homeless. An operator will do an over the phone assessment with the individual.

     Bell Shelter offers transitional care for up to 350 homeless men and women as well as vocational assistance, substance abuse rehabilitation, case management, counseling, on-site health care & medical referrals, ESL classes, HIV/AIDS education, 12-step substance abuse recovery program, computer training, job training and referrals and life skills classes.
