Monthly Prayer

We dream of a city where the Kingdom of God is established through believing, consistent prayer. Our desire is to network intercessors all over the city of Long Beach praying in concert over various areas of concern. Each month we will pray over a council district, City leaders, and schools and churches in that district. We will also pray over a Cause monthly and soak our City with the prayers of the righteous. We will also offer one of the NDOP seven spheres of prayer. To learn more about National Day of Prayer please visit their website.
This month we're changing things up a little. We had a really significant prayer time Saturday morning and we're using that as the content for the prayer page for the month of August.
August
Scripture to pray over the City
- For a spirit of joy to permeate the Church, birthed out of the hope Jesus has given us
- Repentance for the way the Church has treated the gay community
- For the Church to passionately seek their identity as Jesus' ambassadors with authority and humility, and that our value and peace would come from God, not from other sources
- For the heavy burdens to lifted from the pastors in the City, for humility and for a church of people who seek to serve
- We prayed for humility in many different ways with Matt. 8:23-27 as our foundation scripture, and for the attitude that being with Jesus produced in the disciples' hearts to be produced in ours
- For Kingdom Causes Long Beach and all that's going on, for direction, finances and vision. We asked to be motivated by compassion.
- We prayed over scriptures from Isaiah 6
- We prayed that the church would walk in true humility
- There is a team of people who are connecting in various ways in the city to see how they can serve. Some of their team came and were a huge blessing to our meeting - we prayed for direction, annointing and favor for them
- We prayed over a family in City leadership
